Why this exists
Most people don't fail interviews because they don't know the answer. They fail because they froze, hedged, hand-waved, or talked past the question. They knew it at home. They lost it in the room.
The thing that fixes this isn't more LeetCode. It isn't another STAR template. It isn't a YouTube video.
What fixes it is actually doing the thing under pressure, with someone watching, with no pause button, with feedback that tells the truth. Then doing it again.
That's what Maypurl is.
What we built
A voice AI that interviews you the way a senior hiring manager would. Calibrated to your role, your level, and the kind of company you're aiming for. It probes when you hand-wave. It pushes back when you hedge. It pivots, asks if you have questions, ends the conversation when the time runs out.
Then a separate AI scores the transcript across five dimensions calibrated to what real hiring panels at high-bar tech companies expect at your level. The score isn't a curve against other practice users. It's the bar.
The feedback names what you did, what you stumbled on, and what to do about it. If you came up short, there's a recovery plan. Not "study more." Specific topics, specific session counts.
What we won't do
We won't pretend the AI is infallible. Every score has a "Dispute" button on it because Claude can be wrong, and you should never trust a single AI score over your own judgment of how a session went.
We won't predict your real interview outcome. Sessions are too short and interviews are too noisy. What we will say honestly is whether the gaps we saw, if they showed up in the real thing, would likely cost the offer.
We won't be friendly when honest is more useful. The brand is the truth your friends won't tell you. Friends and family soften feedback because they care. We don't have that incentive.
We won't sell your data, run third-party tracking pixels, or use your transcripts to train AI without your explicit, separate consent. That's all detailed on the Privacy page.
The taglines
May we craft your career.
The primary line. A name doing double duty as a phrase. The product is built to help you genuinely become the candidate you want to be, not just to fake your way to one offer.
Not for everyone. Built for you.
If you want gentle encouragement, this isn't it. If you want the rehearsal layer that sits on top of your existing prep and tells you the truth about it, this is exactly that.
You've already been in that room. You just don't know it yet.
The point of rehearsal is to make the real thing feel familiar. After enough Maypurl sessions, the actual interview isn't a first try. It's a re-take.
Where we're going
Phase 1 (now): Voice AI interviewer for Technical, System Design, and Behavioural rounds. Five-dimension scoring with calibrated bar. Recovery plans for below-bar dimensions.
Phase 1.5 (next): Resume-anchored simulations. Upload your resume, the AI knows your actual roles and probes them. A "Stress Test" round attacks the weakest narrative points in your resume directly. Coding round with sandboxed execution and AI watching the code in real time.
Phase 2: Video AI interviewer. Eye contact, facial tension, multi-person detection. The parts of the interview voice can't capture. Tavus avatar, real-time, as close to the real loop as the medium allows.
Phase 3 and beyond: Whiteboarding canvas. Take-home assignments. Multi-round mock loops. The full simulated interview process for the full simulated job.
Who built this
Maypurl Inc is run by a small team based in India. We've been on both sides of the interview table. As candidates who froze in rooms we should have walked into confidently, and as interviewers who watched smart people fail because nobody had taught them how to think out loud under pressure.
The product is what we wished existed when we were preparing.
